Tahoma is a residential West Shore community in heavy timber south of Homewood, largely cabins and year-round homes set back off Highway 89.
Deep shade is the defining condition. Pavement under continuous tree cover dries slowly, collects needles and organic litter, and holds moisture against the surface through most of the shoulder seasons.

What Tahoma pavement is up against
Around 6,200 feet the pavement carries snow cover for a long stretch and then spends spring cycling through melt and refreeze. That cycle, more than the cold itself, is what widens cracks and softens the base. Getting the surface tight before the snow arrives is worth more than anything done after it leaves.
Cabin and residential drives almost entirely. Shaded, needle-covered pavement needs more preparation than an open lot, and the schedule accounts for the extra drying time.

Do you do the striping too, or just the sealcoating?
Both, and they belong together. Sealcoat covers every line in a lot, so restriping is part of the job rather than an add-on. It is also the cheapest moment to fix a layout that was not working.
Does the snow removal in Tahoma affect what my pavement needs?
It affects it more than most people realize. Plow blades wear the surface and catch on any raised edge, so pavement that goes into winter smooth and tight comes out in far better shape than pavement that goes in with open cracks.
Is my Tahoma driveway too small to bother with?
No such thing. Driveways are a large share of what we do, and small jobs get grouped efficiently on the schedule. The only thing that makes a small job hard is calling in late in the season.
