How We Quote Pavement Work

Condition drives everything

Two driveways of identical size can need completely different work. One may need a clean and a coat. The other may need substantial crack work first, or may not be worth coating at all. Square footage alone does not tell you which is which.

That is why we walk the property. It is also why quotes given over the phone from an address are guesses dressed up as numbers.

What we are looking at

Surface condition and how far the oxidation has gone. Crack width, length, and whether cracks are single or interconnected. Drainage and where water goes. Access for equipment. Grade. Shade. What the plow does to it.

For commercial and association work, add phasing: how the property is used, when it can be closed, and how the work sequences around that.

What you get back

A written scope that says what will be done, in what order, and what is excluded. Where an area is not worth treating, it will say that too, with the reason.

If the honest recommendation is less work than you expected, that is what the estimate will say. There is no version of this business where overselling a coating works out over sixty years in one small town.

Call (530) 587-4161 or send a request through the site. We reply within one business day. Photographs help, especially of cracked areas, and for many residential jobs they get us most of the way there.

There is no obligation attached to an estimate, and some pavement simply is not ready to need us yet. We will say so when that is the case.

What we will not do in an estimate

Quote a property we have not seen when the condition genuinely matters. Bundle structural repair we do not perform into a maintenance price. Recommend a coating over pavement that has failed.

Those three are how a small maintenance job becomes a bad experience, and avoiding them is most of what sixty years in one town has taught this business.
