Home·Where We Mobilize
Close to the yard,
and beyond it for scale.
We will seal one driveway in Truckee. We will not drive around the lake to do it — but we will absolutely make that trip for an association road network, a commercial lot, or municipal work.
How we decide
Two tiers,
stated plainly.
- 1
Truckee and the Martis Valley: anything
Truckee, Tahoe Donner, Glenshire, Donner Lake, Prosser, Northstar, Martis Camp and the neighborhoods around them. One driveway is fine. This is home ground and the crew is already here.
- 2
Beyond that: association, commercial, and municipal
Around the north and west shore we mobilize for association road networks, commercial parking lots, resort and lodge pavement, and municipal work. The job has to justify moving equipment over the hill — as a rule of thumb, roughly a dozen driveways or a full association road.
- 3
A single driveway outside Truckee is a no
We would rather tell you that plainly than take the job, schedule it badly, and do it in a rush at the end of a day. It is not worth it for you either.
- 4
A street full of driveways is a yes
This is the part people miss. One driveway in Tahoe Vista does not justify the trip. That same road with several owners committed absolutely does, and it usually costs each owner less. See coordinating your street.
Why we work this way
Sealcoating and striping are mobilization businesses. Getting a crew, a tank, a router and a striper to a job is a real cost that does not change much whether the job takes two hours or two days. On a big job that cost disappears into the work. On one driveway an hour away, it is most of the job.
The honest version of that is what you are reading. We are not going to quote you a number that only makes sense if we rush, and we are not going to take a deposit and then keep bumping you to the end of the schedule because the job never quite fits the route.
What counts as worth the trip
Association and private road networks, commercial and retail parking lots, resort and lodge pavement, school and district surfaces, municipal work, and any coordinated group of neighboring properties. If you are managing pavement rather than owning one piece of it, you are the right call.
If you are not sure which side of the line you are on, call (530) 587-4161 and describe the property. It takes about a minute to find out.
Association and commercial work, by community
These are the communities we mobilize to for association road networks, commercial lots, and municipal work — roughly a dozen driveways or a full association road, and up. Single-driveway work stays close to the yard, in Truckee and the Martis Valley.

Common questions
Do you sealcoat single driveways in Tahoe City or Kings Beach?
Not on their own. Single-driveway work stays in Truckee and the Martis Valley. If several owners on the same road go in together, that changes the answer.
What kinds of jobs do you travel for?
Association and private road networks, commercial parking lots, resort and lodge pavement, school and district surfaces, and municipal work.
How many properties does it take to make a trip worthwhile?
As a rule of thumb, roughly a dozen driveways or a full association road. What actually decides it is how much pavement is involved rather than how many addresses, so describe the road and we will tell you straight.
Do you work in Nevada?
We are licensed in Nevada as well as California. The same rule applies: scale decides it, not the state line.
Why not just take the work and charge more?
Because a job priced to cover a long trip for a small amount of pavement is a bad deal for the owner, and it is the kind of job that ends up rushed. We would rather be straight about it.
