What the work involves

Court lines, playground layouts, and game surfaces painted to the right dimensions. Mountain courts take the same UV and freeze punishment as everything else, so the surface underneath usually needs attention before the lines go down.

Why it matters at this elevation

Fresh markings do practical work beyond looking sharp. They keep parking orderly so a lot holds the number of vehicles it was laid out for, they keep required lanes and stalls legible, and they signal that somebody is minding the property.

Pavement in this range spends a long stretch under snow and then a long stretch cycling between melt and overnight refreeze. The refreeze does the damage. Water that ran into a crack at two in the afternoon is ice by nine at night, and ice takes up more room than the water did.

How the job runs

The details are the job. Correct dimensions, legible legends, markings placed to current standards, and materials chosen for pavement that gets plowed all winter. We would rather talk the layout through in advance than repaint somebody else's mistake in the same spot.

Olympic Valley pavement specifically

Resort base pavement carries surges: day lots, service yards, and the lodging and residential drives spread along the valley floor. Big lots like these are usually done in sections so the operation keeps running through the work.

Resort-valley pavement takes double punishment: peak traffic in the coldest months, then baking altitude sun all summer. Olympic Valley — home of Palisades Tahoe and the 1960 Winter Games — funnels serious traffic up a single valley road all winter.

The valley road runs flat to the base area, which makes access simple even when the surrounding terrain is not.

Striping is the last step in the sequence. If the surface is due for sealing, the lines go on after that rather than before, so they are not buried a season later.
