SIERRA MEADOWS · SINCE 1965
Parking lot striping in Sierra Meadows.
Sierra Meadows is minutes from the yard on the south side of Truckee, just off the 267 corridor. Robert E. Sutton Co. works out of Truckee, licensed in California and Nevada, and parking lot striping is one of the three things we do. Call (530) 587-4161.
What the work involves
Layout, stalls, arrows, and legends, painted to hold up against plow blades and traction sand. Striping over fresh sealcoat is also the cheapest moment there will ever be to fix a layout that was not working.
Why it matters at this elevation
Fresh markings do practical work beyond looking sharp. They keep parking orderly so a lot holds the number of vehicles it was laid out for, they keep required lanes and stalls legible, and they signal that somebody is minding the property.
At this height the calendar is the constraint. The base needs to be genuinely dry before sealer will bond, and up here that usually is not until well into June. Work that has to cure gets scheduled early in the window rather than gambled on the end of it.
How the job runs
On a resealed surface the striping goes onto fresh black, which is both the best looking and the best bonding version of the job. On existing pavement we work over the ghost lines. Either way the paint needs dry pavement and enough warmth to set before traffic returns.
Sierra Meadows pavement specifically
Residential driveways make up most of the work, with some shared access and small association pavement mixed in. Established neighborhoods tend to need honest triage more than they need a sales pitch, and some of this pavement is closer to the end of its life than the middle.
Sierra Meadows is a residential neighborhood on the south side of Truckee, near the Highway 267 corridor that runs toward Northstar and the lake.
Markings here have to survive plow blades and months under snow, so the restripe cycle runs shorter than an owner would expect from a lot down the hill.
Sierra Meadows sits at roughly 5,900 feet, and the pavement around it behaves accordingly. More on the area on our Sierra Meadows service area page. We work the same corridor through Truckee, Ponderosa Palisades, Martis Camp, Glenshire, and the pavement guides go deeper on the physics if you want it.
Questions
Do you do parking lot striping in Sierra Meadows?
Yes. Sierra Meadows is inside our regular service area out of Truckee, and parking lot striping is core work for us. Call (530) 587-4161 or send a request and we will get it scoped.
How do you price parking lot striping?
By looking at it. Condition and square footage drive the scope, so we walk the pavement rather than quoting blind. We reply to requests within one business day and go from there.
What makes mountain pavement work different?
The season and the freeze cycle. Four working months instead of eight, snow load and plow traffic all winter, and a daily freeze and thaw swing that pries at anything left open. Maintenance schedules that work in the valley run behind up here.
